Eric Solario Academy Features Elgin Butler SGT
Ronan Architects specified over 60,000 8W Series (8″ x 16″) Structural Glazed Tile units in an assortment of color blends.
Located in Chicago, Eric Solario Academy High School is an educational facility for grades 9-12. Designed by Ronan Architects, the 200,000 square foot Academy features over 60,000 8W Series (8″ x 16″) Structural Glazed Tile units in an assortment of color blends. In addition, 6Y (12″ x 12″) Glazed Brick was used on the exterior of the project in #1055 Glossy Black.
Ronan specified Elgin Butler products because of their durability, especially in high-traffic areas such as an academic wing, athletic facility, and arts/library center. Using the concept of “Mind/Body/Spirit”, Ronan implement the new urban high school, including three floors plus a lower level to serve 1,200 students.
