Elgin Featured in Green Issue of TADA Magazine

Elgin Butler is pleased to be featured in Volume 2, Issue 3 of TADA Magazine, which focuses on developments and best practices in green building.

TADA (Tile for Architects, Designers and Affiliates) is a publication by the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), whose mission is to provide important technical content to assist professionals involved in the design and specification of ceramic tile and natural stone.  The second annual Green issue explores the sustainable aspects of ceramic glazed brick and structural glazed tile with highlights from Elgin Butler and its subsidiaries, McIntyre Tile and Trikeenan Tileworks.

The feature, Ceramic Glazed Masonry Offers Advantages in Sustainable Design, showcases Elgin’s family of products and describes how glazed masonry units contribute to more earth- and air-friendly tile installations.  The design standards of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED®, are discussed with Elgin products offering LEED credit points in four categories: Sustainable Sites; Energy and Atmosphere; Materials and Resources; and Innovation in Design.
